We rode an easy 64 miles today, leaving shortly after dawn when the light is exquisite and the wind non-existant.  The climbs were short and sweet and the wind was at our backs and we were looking at vistas like this.   The ride into Phoenix felt like a very gradual downhill made even more pleasant by the bike lanes all the way into town - WOW!  Our average speed today was 13.8 mph.  We have a 50 miler tomorrow and were lucky enough to hear about the Chihuilly (sp? - glass sculpture artist from Seattle) exhibit at the Desert Botanical Garden, so will make a detour to take that in.  These cultural perks are the best!

Exhaustion is getting the best of me.  Best, Peggy
