We encountered these rollers soon out of Camp Wood and had 3 big climbs of about a mile - mile and a half on today's ride of 47 miles. It was challenging but fun, for me much more interesting than riding on the flats. On the first climb, I stopped three times to pick 3 different specimens of fern to send to my son David, a plant biology senior at Univ. of Vermont. They were the first ferns I'd seen since the San Diego Zoo, well worth the interrupted climb.
