We met John Delaney, below, at the top of a climb on the way into McGregor, IA ( I think - the days start to blur the longer I go between posting..), but I could hear what sounded like a pack of dogs barking from about halfway up the hill. When I arrived at the summit, John was just driving his small ATV with trailer attached across the road, surrounded with a bunch of obviously related canines, tails wagging, stopping every few moments to sit down and scratch. They, and he were adorable. He was very happy to tell us all about his 25 dogs and just about anything else that we would stand and listen to. Jan Bee really knows how to make anyone feel at home.
