Our night in McCregor, Iowa was fun. We dined outside along the river without any sign of a mosquito, finishing up just in time for a major thunderstorm with a good dousing of rain. The train track was right next to our hotel and well utilized but thanks to my trusty orange neon ear plugs, I didn't hear a thing. Note the giant grain elevator behind the hotel, and the 1938 chevy and it's proud owner in the front. The owner of the Holiday Shores Motel had a pill box full of Happy Pills (M and M's - they DID make us happy after our 67 mile ride!) waiting for each of us and he awakened at 0400 to make us cherry brioches for breakfast! Life is good...
